NSCS Officer Meeting Minutes November 14, 2006 Present: All officers were present. The meeting was held in the lobby of Forsyth Library. The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. December Mtg: The next general NSCS meeting will be December 7, at 5:30 p.m. in room 201 in Rarick Hall. December Service Project: We will be making XMAS cards as a group during the December meeting. The cards will be distributed to the Assisted Living centers throughout Hays. Members of the organization will be delivering the cards and interacting with the residents. PotLuck: The December meeting will be a PotLuck. Please bring something small to share with everyone! PARTY: The December meeting will also be our XMAS party. We are going to have a White Elephant Gift exchange. However, so people do not feel obligated to bring a nice gift, we are making it more of a humorous event where you bring something from around the house. Ex: a half used candle. Try to make it funny, but not gross! Elections: If we have a good member turnout at the next meeting, we will hold elections so the new officers can work with the old officers for the spring term. PFCS: Our PFCS program is about to kick off with Kennedy Middle School. Jana, Amber, Celina, and Adrienne will report to Kennedy for one hour in December (date to be announced) to begin our program!! STAR STATUS: An extended discussion was held about the submission of important items for our star status, as there was some confusion regarding why they were not reported. One specific item was Invitation Letter Approval form as all officers were in agreement we had submitted this because it was in previous minutes about meeting the deadline.
