NSCS Meeting Minutes
February 6, 2007
Opening:
The regular meeting of NSCS was called to order at 6:15 p.m. on February 6, 2007 in room 201 in Rarick Hall
Present:
Total attendance: 22 members
We had a Pizza Party for members.
1. New Business:
A. Officer Elections:
    1. President:                                    Sarah Schumacher
    2. Executive Vice President:     
    3. VP of Community Service:        Jennifer Meyer
    4. VP of PFCS:                                 Adrienne Heroneme
    5. Secretary/Treasurer:                  Brian Humphrey

B. National Leadership Summit:
        *To be held in Philadelphia, July 18-21
C. Spirit Week:
        *Will be held March 11 – 15
        *Ideas:
            Set up info booth in the Union one day
            Set up info booth in McMindes another day
            Run ad in Leader
            Have a social event
            Hang posters around campus, or a sheet in front of the union
            Sidewalk chalk
2. Community Service:
A. February:
We made Valentine’s to pass out at community retirement homes
B. March:
Special Olympics – March 15, 2007
C. April:
National Youth Service Day – April 21, 2007
3. Planning for College Success (PFCS)
A. Visit – We need to establish times to go to Kennedy and do PFCS activities, mentoring, etc.
B. March to College Day – The officer board will be discussing and possibly developing this possibility
Adjournment:
The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m.  The date of the next meeting will be March 6, 2007 at 6:15.  Our Scholar Ambassador Amanda Hapner will be attending.  It will be held in room 201 in Rarick Hall!  Be sure to attend and bring a friend!!!
