PFCS Introduction

NSCS members,

My name is Adrienne Heroneme and I am the Vice President of
Planning for College Success (PFCS) of the Fort Hays Chapter of National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS).

The goal of PFCS is to volunteer in middle schools in order
to raise awareness about higher education. Some of our
activities include helping teachers inside the classroom,
tutoring students, and organizing a March to College Day.
Our partner school is Kennedy Middle School.

Mr. Lee Kefer, principal of KMS, as well as teachers of KMS, have expressed to us that there is a very high need for volunteers of this sort at Kennedy.

I am asking that all of you will consider volunteering for this program. You can pick your own days and times to volunteer, anytime Monday through Friday, 8:30-3:00. We will try to assign at least 2 individuals to volunteer for each session.

This is a great way to be active within NSCS, and a good opportunity to volunteer in general.

I will be emailing everyone again to let you know when our next NSCS member meeting will be held, where we can discuss the PFCS program in more detail.

If you have any questions please email me or call me at (785) 650-4051.

Adrienne Heroneme
Vice President PFCS
