NSCS Meeting Minutes
December 7, 2006
Opening:
The regular meeting of NSCS was called to order at 5:35 p.m. on December 7, 2006 in room 201 in Rarick Hall
Present:
Total attendance: 8 members
Tonight was our NSCS Christmas party. We had members bring snacks and had a white-elephant gift exchange.
1. Community Service:
A. December Service Project: We made Christmas cards during our meeting to take to retirement homes around the Hays community.
B. Salvation Army – Ring the Bell: A few of our members took part in the Ring the bell service this December.
2. PFCS: Jana, Adrienne, and Celina will report to Kennedy Middle School tomorrow, 12/8/2006, to volunteer in our first PFCS mentoring activity. We aim to get volunteers as involved as possible next semester, but just want to get the program kicked off this December.
3. Elections: Due to the small member turnout this meeting, we will table the elections until our next meeting.
4. Student Organization of the Year Competition: Athletics is holding a competition where organizations turn in their ticket stubs from the basketball games and the organization with the most representation at the games will win student organization of the year from the Athletics Department.
5. White-elephant gift exchange: We all exchanged funny gifts.
Adjournment:
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 p.m. The date of the next meeting will be announced when the date is set. Please watch your email and facebook. It will be held in room 201 in Rarick Hall! Be sure to attend and bring a friend!!!
